Dr. Chris's oregano floral water is obtained from hand-harvested and gently steam-distilled Origanum Heracleoticum. The essential oil of Oregano is rich in carvacrol and thymol, these ingredients are also present in the floral water.

Origanum vulgare L. (oregano) is an aromatic perennial herb found in the Mediterranean region. Coccimiglio et al. reported that the ethanolic extract showed MIC values ranging from 6.3 to 12.5 µg/mL against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Burkholderia cenocepacia, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Bacillus subtilis (Coccimiglio et al., 2016). The essential oils show the highest antibacterial activity, with MIC’s ranging from 0.3 to 100 µg/mL.
